Individual therapy and brainspotting.
Hello! I'm Anya Crea Vance (she/her), LPC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. I see primarily adults and offer virtual sessions only at this time. I work with folks struggling with anxiety disorders, mood disorder, life transitions, stress, and other relational challenges. I have a special interest in fertility and people working on building their families, women's health, as well as chronic illnesses. I offer Brainspotting as well as talk therapy and hope to expand into eco-therapy in the not too distant future.
Are you a good clinical fit?
Many clients feel I am a good fit if they are looking for a provider who is gentle yet honest, can meet you where you are at and honors your values. I work best with clients who are ready to dig a little deeper into their story and are curious about themselves and their experiences. I may not be the right therapist for you if your presenting concerns are outside my scope of practice or areas of competence. Knowing this, we may work well together if you are looking for support in the following areas:
Whether manifested in anxiety, depression, or other mood imbalance, you feel your nervous system is “out of wack” and are curious as to why and would like to find more balance and regulation.
You’ve experienced a recent big change/life transition and need to process this experience.
You’re stuck in cycles of stress and overwhelm and are looking for a more peace and grounding.
You experience chronic illness/chronic pain and need additional support in managing the mental/emotional toll this can take.
You are struggling with fertility and processing through what this means for yourself and/or family.
You are healing from trauma in the many forms this can take.
My Approach
Many clients describe my style as warm, non-judgmental, with the right dose of directness and authenticity. I strongly value curiosity, mindfulness, balance, and identifying and aligning with your stated values. I think of my therapeutic approach like taking a walk together. Sometimes that walk is more of a mountain climb and sometimes a stroll through the park. Either way, we choose the path collaboratively, one suited to us both. If the pack you carry is too heavy (whether with anxiety, weariness, conflict, resentments, grief, stress, or just change) I can help carry that weight for a time. I provide encouragement, perspective, skills if necessary, humor, and a steady presence. I am not a “blank slate” therapist and you will see my personality in our time together, as I hope to see yours. Modalities I utilize often combine both the body and mind. This includes somatic approaches and attention to the nervous system, mindfulness based cognitive therapies, ACT, and always a strengths based/person centered foundation. My interventions are integrative and holistic based on your stated needs and values as well. I am also trained in Brainspotting and have a certification in Eco-therapy.
I look forward to working with you!

Therapy with me generally starts out weekly and may expand to every other week as your symptoms/presenting concerns improve. My session last between 45-55 minutes. Length of therapy overall may be as short as a couple of months or much longer depending on the need. I start my session with a generally check in, sometimes follow up on goals/plans between sessions, and then offer space for whatever your needs are for the day (but can be more directive if needed). I do not generally provide homework, but may offer invitations like spending time out in nature or practicing skills we learn in session. generally these suggestions are always tailored to something we’ve discussed and hopefully align with your stated goals.
