Hello! My name is Melissa Lulofs (she/her), and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Oregon. I see individuals (ages 21+) for virtual therapy. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and autism spectrum disorder.

Are you a good clinical fit?

We may be a good fit if you are looking for support with anxiety, trauma, OCD, and/or relationship difficulties. I particularly enjoy working with people who identify as chronic people pleasers and perfectionists and people who have experienced narcissistic abuse. I enjoy supporting clients to develop an understanding of the cycle of abuse & healthy relationship dynamics, to develop and maintain healthy boundaries, to develop a strong sense of self-worth, and to fully live into their true, authentic selves. Additionally, I have many years of experience working with individuals of all ages on the autism spectrum, and I especially enjoy working with this population. I have the skills and understanding to provide you with individualized therapy and to help get you connected to community resources for additional support.

My Approach

I practice from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) orientation and I operate from a trauma-informed lens. I have specific training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Treatment for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for PTSD, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. I offer both talk therapy and manualized therapies to help you find symptom relief. I love offering resources like books, podcasts, websites, and worksheets to offer you tangible skills and solutions. Overall, I value a collaborative approach to care and prioritize working together on your treatment plan goals throughout our time together, and I believe that a safe, respectful, and mutual relationship is at the center of our success together.

I look forward to working with you!
